Did Egyptians wear finger nail polish?

I have seen movies where the actors had on nail polish. And that seems like it would be fake. If so, did men and women both wear it?Did Egyptians wear finger nail polish?
Yes they colored thier nails

No they didn't have nail polish like in the movies

Unlike many other cosmetics that have a history of hundreds or even thousands of years, nail polish (or lacquer, or enamel) is almost completely an invention of twentieth century technology. Nail coverings were not unknown in ancient times鈥攖he upper classes of ancient Egypt probably used henna to dye both hair and fingernails鈥攂ut essentially, its composition, manufacture and handling reflect developments in modern chemical technology.

There are historic records of nail colouring in ancient societies of China and Egypt, where colour signified social class. In China, it is done by mashing together the petals of impatiens flower and alum. Applying this mixture to nails for a few hours or overnight leaves a color ranging from pink to red.

Originally made of natural pigments, modern nail polish is similar to car paint, and requires a polish remover such as acetone to remove. Modern nail polish was invented by Michelle M茅nard in the early 1920s.

No,nail polish does not exist during those days.I mean do scientist really exist during those days to make nail polish?Do woman has beauty cosmetics to put on during those days?All i know is one thing that really exist,that is eyeliner..
Well it looks like nail polish but truly it's just liquid copper and gold that was brushed on ussually quite unevenly and clumpy. Because the gold was extremely hot it would burn the finger tips of the wearer. Therefore only the rich wore it. The gold showed the riches wealth and burned their finger tips proving they were unable to do any physical labor.
Sure they did, Do you think Cleopatra would be caught dead without anything on her nails%26gt;
yes, both sexes painted their nails in ancient Egypt..

They used various minerals and other items to make a ';paint'; substance..
I'm not totally positive, but if i think, Egyptians of high standings did. Pharaohs and other political or religious leaders probably did. But, i obviously would not have been the same substance we use today. It was probably some kind of dye the used for clothes.
