finger nail polish spilled on my new dvd and i haven't had a chance to watch it yet. can it be restored please help meIs a dvd ruined forever if finger nail polish remover is spilled on it?
If it spilled on the recorded side, then yes, it is ruined forever. Nail polish remover is basically acetone, and acetone dissolves most plastics.
If it spilled on the lable side, you might be ok unless the acetone went through to the other side and fogged the plastic on the recorded side.
